Hastings Little League - 4/7/2020 update

Hastings Little League is still in a wait and see mode as it pertains to the 2020 Season. Little League International (on March 16th) recommended that all leagues delay league activities until May 11th. As most know, Nebraska has set a May 31st date. It is expected that the CDC (which Little League is basing their recommendations on) will come out with new information towards the end of April. They will most likely move that May 11th date, we just hope they don't move it too far.

Our goal is to play baseball sometime this summer, IF, if it is SAFE to play. Even if we have to change our traditional schedule. We feel the kids deserve it after all they have been through. We are coming up with multiple schedules depending on different starting dates.

If it is deemed unsafe and we are not able to have a season we will begin a process of refunding money.

We have had multiple conversations with our Nebraska Little League District Administrator and the officials from Kearney and Grand Island Little Leagues, sharing information on how other Nebraska Little Leagues are handling this situation. Those conversations will continue.

If you have any questions regarding any of this please send us an email by replying to this message.

If possible we recommend getting out in the back yard, big open space etc... and playing catch with your player. Maybe even a little wiffle ball batting practice.

We thank you all for your patience during these unprecedented times.
