10 Year Old Thunder Tryouts

We will be holding Tryouts for our 10 year old Thunder Team on Tuesday at 7pm at the Hitting Facility next to Duncan Field. We will have Tryouts on Tuesday and Thursday, and one on the Weekend. We understand this is a busy time of the year, if you can not make it to a tryout please email thunder@hastingsbaseball.net. We would like the boys to make it to at least 2 of the 3 tryouts, but we will work with anyone who wants to Tryout.

The 10 Year Old Team is open for anyone who is in B League and or is 10 or younger on May 1st. If you have not done so already, please fill out the form below.

He Is Just a Little Boy

He stands at the plate
with his heart pounding fast.
The bases are loaded,
the die has been cast.
Mom and Dad cannot help him,
he stands all alone.
A hit at this moment
would send his team home.
The ball meets the plate,
he swings and he misses.
There's a groan from the crowd,
with some boos and some hisses.
A thoughtless voice cries,
"Strike out the bum."
Tears fill his eyes,
the game's no longer fun.
So open up your heart
and give him a break,
for it's moments like this,
a man you can make.
Please keep this in mind
when you hear someone forget,
He is just a little boy,
and not a man yet.
