ATTENTION ALL PLAYERS AND PARENTS…

We are entering into another baseball season and we hope to have another successful year with our raffle ticket sales.    In an effort to keep registration costs down, under the pressure of rising insurance and equipment costs, we will be requiring Rookie, Pee Wee, and B League to sell 30 raffle tickets per player.    These mandatory 30 tickets must be sold and the stubs and money turned in to your coach by Tuesday, June 8 (Little League Night at Duncan) or the player will not be allowed to participate in any games until they are turned in.

This year will we will give away over $3,000.00 in prizes to the kids who have sold the greatest number of raffle tickets.    We award prizes to the top kids.    Our top five ticket sellers from previous years have sold over 400 tickets each.    We will also award chamber bucks or meal deals at Duncan to the top selling teams, which will help at the end of the season with team parties! An extra incentive to motivate ticket sales is that we reward the top selling team by having them take the field with the Five Points Bank Sr. Legion team for the starting line-up and after the National Anthem and we will have the top seller throw out the first pitch during the Johnny Hopp Tournament on Prize Night at Duncan.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

1.        Once the tickets are handed out to your son/daughter, you are responsible for those tickets.

2.        In order for the team members to receive proper credit for the number of tickets sold, they must have their first and last name filled in as the seller.

3.        DO NOT remove staples from the ticket stubs.    If they come apart, re-staple or put a rubber band on them to hold them together.    Please do not use tape as that may pull off the printing.

4.        IF TICKETS ARE LOST parents or guardians are responsible to turn in the money for lost tickets.    ALL tickets must be accounted for.

5.        As mentioned at the beginning of this newsletter it is mandatory to sell 30 tickets.    We have done this in lieu of raising registration fees.

6.        For more tickets contact your coach or team parent or go to baseball webpage and select raffle tab and click on request additional raffle tickets.

7.        Please maintain records of your child ticket sales, (ticket numbers and amounts sold)    for accuracy purposes.

8.        Money Turn in; consolidate cash to largest bills possible, (instead of 30 ones, a twenty and a ten)

9.        PLEASE NOTE: A great selling point to emphasize is each ticket purchased not only makes them eligible for a prize, but will also admit them to any legion ball game July 5-11 at Duncan Field.

ALL TICKETS, SOLD OR UNSOLD, MUST BE TURNED IN TO YOUR COACH OR TEAM PARENT BY WEDNESDAY JUNE 23 (Little League Night at Duncan).

ATTENTION PLAYERS!    YOU CAN INCREASE YOUR TICKET SALES!

We will be having a player/parent raffle ticket sales wrap up at Walmart on Saturday & Sunday, June 26 & 27.    We will furnish the tickets to sell those two days and all tickets sold by player or parent will go towards that players total sales for this season.    Call Dale Ossowski (469-4409) to set up a time.    Please set up your time as soon as possible.

THE DRAWINGS WILL BE HELD SATURDAY JULY 10 AT DUNCAN FIELD AT APPROXIMATELY 6:30 P.M.    THE TOP SELLING PLAYERS PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED THAT EVENING DURING THE BREAK BETWEEN GAMES (RAIN OUT DATE JULY 12).    At the double header any player who has sold at least 5 or more raffle tickets over the mandatory 30 will be eligible to win extra prizes.  Every time there is a hit from either team during both games, we will draw a name from all who qualified and announce the lucky winners.    Last year there were 39 hits in the double header making 39 kids winners for selling extra raffle tickets.

We would like to thank all the players and parents for helping make the program so successful and enjoyable.    It takes everyone’s cooperation to make things go, and we hope we can count on you to do your part.    Good luck and let’s make this year’s sales the best ever.

WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO GET OUT THERE AND HAVE FUN WITH YOUR TEAMS THIS SUMMER
